PAS vice-president Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah was shocked that an individual can own up to RM1.1 billion in goods.

His reaction was in response to police announcing that the items seized at several properties linked to former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak amounted to a basic value of RM686.37 million, and could fetch up to RM1.1 billion on the market. 

"We are shocked if it is indeed owned by an individual," he told journalists at the Yayasan Islam Kelantan Hari Raya open house in Kota Bharu this afternoon.

"We can't comment more, let the police decide on it," added the Kelantan deputy menteri besar.

Earlier today, Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Commissioner Amar Singh revealed the exact items and their value from the police raid on several condominium units at Pavilion Residences last month.

This was in relation to the investigation into state-fund 1MDB, funds from which were allegedly laundered across the globe, including the US.

The US Department of Justice believes at least US$4.5 billion was misappropriated from 1MDB with Najib being one of the benefactors.

Najib has denied wrongdoing or taking public funds for personal gain.
