The MACC has denied freezing the bank account of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak's grandchild.

MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations), Azam Baki was quoted as curtly telling Sinar Harian: "Najib's grandchild's account was never frozen."

Earlier today, Najib's daughter Nooryana Najwa took to Facebook to lament that her personal account, as well as that of her 10-month-old son, had been frozen by 1MDB investigators.

She claimed the accounts were frozen after she posted bail for Najib yesterday and that the infant's account contained his first “duit raya” received this year.

Nooryana then went on to accuse the new government of being vindictive and seeking to "eliminate" her whole family.

Najib was arrested on Tuesday night by MACC and brought to court on Wednesday morning where he was charged with three counts of criminal breach of trust (CBT) and one count of abuse of power.

The former premier claimed trial to all the charges which were related to the SRC International issue.

The High Court in Kuala Lumpur set bail at RM1 million and Najib was allowed to leave after his family members managed to post half of the sum with the balance to be settled by Monday.
