Supporters of Najib Abdul Razak are expected to hand over at least RM300,000 to the former prime minister tomorrow.

Former Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Mohd Razlan Rafii, who is coordinating the Tabung Solidariti Najib, said the money will be handed over at Najib's Jalan Langgak Duta residence in Kuala Lumpur.

Razlan, in a message to supporters, urged them to turn up at Najib's residence tomorrow morning.

He added that as of this morning, a total of RM310,245 had been raised.

Of this, he said RM88,111 was in cash while another RM222,134 was in a bank account.

However, Razlan added that the final amount will only be known tomorrow.

Najib was on Wednesday charged with the alleged misappropriation of RM42 million in state-owned SRC International Sdn Bhd funds.

He was released on an RM1 million bail.

Najib had on the same day paid RM500,000 in cash and must pay the remaining RM500,000 tomorrow.

His lawyer had previously offered his house grant worth RM4 million, citing that his bank accounts had been frozen.

However, the prosecution objected to this.

Meanwhile, Bernama reported that Wanita Umno had collected another RM261,286 for Najib.

Wanita Umno chief Noraini Ahmad, in a statement, said the wing today handed the money as well as two bracelets to Najib.

“I am very proud and touched by the sacrifices made by Wanita Umno members to help Najib," she was quoted as saying by Bernama.
