VGV: Bersih, a very good move to hit the nail on Pakatan Harapan's head. What a way to lure the voters with the durian feast.
This is not the correct time to feed durians to the voters. If you intend to have a feast, Harapan, then you should have one nationwide (and not just in Sungai Kandis ahead of the Aug 4 by-election).
Please be honest in all your dealings, Harapan, as we have great faith in you.

Amirudin Shari, being the Selangor menteri besar, should lead by example. He ought to stand tall and not be seen doing exactly the same thing that we have always abhorred.
We hope the change of government has not been in vain. Bravo to Bersih for being consistent in their stand by taking up the issue.
Old Hand: Excellent move, Bersih. Ruling party or not, they must follow the rules. If they persist, then lodge a report on them. If MACC does not act, then bring it to the voters.

This may have been the old way prior to the 14th general election (GE14), especially for BN, but please do not make this the new way post-GE14.
We must be rid of any and all practices that point to corruption and attempts to exert undue influence on voters.

Look at what happened to the last PAC committee. Within the opposition, though few, we can still find someone with more acceptable attributes.
Yes, a promise is a promise, but one cannot plod on a straight course when one sees disasters ahead, else the PAC will end up like the Titanic.
Shovelnose: Choose a better PAC chair. While it is a given that only elected representatives can be nominated to chair, the position should be no more than a chair to convene meetings of the committee and for press conferences.
It is more important that a balanced composition of the PAC comes from both sides of the house.

Open Mind: Yes, the best solution is to appoint someone from the opposition with a clean and honest background.
This person has to a person of integrity and reputation. The post need not go to the leader of the opposition.

Don't try all these funny tricks. Put Tony Pua as chairperson and either Jeli MP Mustapa Mohamad or KJ as his deputy.

FellowMalaysian: The files on Sarawak governor Abdul Taib Mahmud must be revisited now that Putrajaya has a new government which has pledged “competency, accountability and transparency” as its core values.
Don't shirk your responsibilities that you have promised to carry out to the rakyat.
Yang Arif: Harapan is unfortunately falling back on many of its promises. The people of Sarawak voted against BN specifically because they wanted to see Taib brought to justice.
Clearing him is akin to clearing Najib of any wrongdoing related to 1MDB.

We understand that the Harapan government has much on its plate right now and the attorney-general is swamped too. Give them some breathing space. They are human too. They will do the right thing.
Justice: Like in the Taib case, former attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali has also cleared Najib of 1MDB and related cases but they were re-opened, the ex-premier arrested, his houses searched, money and other items seized and now he is being prosecuted by the Harapan government.
But Taib appears to be immune and untouchable by Harapan. What a double standard and clearly a case of selective prosecution by Harapan.
