The Goods and Services Tax (Repeal) Bill 2018 will be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat for its first reading tomorrow, together with four related bills.

This is according to the Parliament’s order paper for tomorrow’s proceedings.

Other bills slated to be tabled by the Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng tomorrow are the Sales Tax Bill 2018, Service Tax Bill 2018, Customs (Amendment) Bill 2018, and Free Zones (Amendment) Bill 2018.

Repealing the GST and replacing with the SST was among the ten promises that Pakatan Harapan wanted to deliver within its first 100 days in power.
