The MACC has denied a report alleging a reshuffle among its ranks, which would include the transfer of several senior officers.
"The report is irresponsible, because it cites no legitimate or trustworthy source, and it is based merely on viral information meant for sensationalised news.
"This report can cause anxiety among the MACC officers and could be twisted, which would affect the image of MACC and cause doubt to arise among society," the MACC said in a statement today.
The agency requested that all media practitioners obtain legitimate information from the commission first, before publishing their reports.
"Irresponsible reporting can cause confusion among society and the relevant agencies," it said.
Earlier today, a local daily reported there would allegedly be a reshuffle in the MACC, which would see several senior officers in the investigation and intelligence divisions being shifted out to other agencies.
