The polling centre at SK Kampung Lindungan and Taman Dato’ Hormat Multi Purpose Hall are among 18 polling centres open since 8am today for 50,692 registered voters to cast their ballot.

Last Tuesday, 77 percent out of the 2,770 early voters, comprising army personnel and their spouses as well as police personnel, voted at the polling centres at the Ababil Multi Purpose Hall of the Subang Air Base and PDRM SMS Complex in Shah Alam.

The by-election is witnessing a straight fight between Halimey and PAS candidate Halimah Ali, who is a former Selangor executive councillor. It was called following the death of Seri Setia state seat incumbent Shaharuddin Badaruddin on Aug 2, who died due to colon cancer.
