Polling for the twin by-elections for the Selangor state seats of Seri Setia and Balakong closed at 5.30pm.

Turnout for both contests is expected to be below 50 percent.

In Balakong, Pakatan Harapan's Wong Siew Ki is defending the DAP seat against MCA's Tan Chee Teong.

Meanwhile in Seri Setia, PAS' Dr Halimah Ali seeks to wrest the PKR seat from Halimey Abu Bakar.
