Bersatu claimed that there were “dirty tactics” used by some parties to create a unhealthy clash between the party and PKR in the heat up to the PKR election this year.

Selangor Bersatu chairperson Abdul Rashid Asari said the party took a firm stand in not wanting to be linked to the current PKR election issue on the basis of respect for members of the Pakatan Harapan coalition in the state.

In addition, Selangor state legislative assembly had expressed its full support for the leadership of Amirudin Shari as Selangor Menteri Besar from the time he was sworn in to lead the state, he said in a statement yesterday through WhatsApp.

Abdul Rashid, who is also chairperson of the state committee on culture and tourism, malay civilisation and heritage, claimed that there was a “dirty effort” to defame Amirudin as the menteri besar ahead of PKR's election.
