PKR POLLS | PKR deputy president Azmin Ali has maintained a slim lead over challenger Rafizi Ramli following the second round of voting in Johor today.

Several Johor PKR figures told Malaysiakini that Haniza Talha and Dr Daroyah Alwi also maintained their lead for the PKR Wanita chief and deputy chief positions respectively.

The same was also said of Afif Bahardin and Hilman Idham who maintained their lead for the PKR Youth chief and deputy chief positions respectively.

All the abovementioned figures are believed to be aligned to Azmin, although they have never official announced themselves as a faction.

These results are still unofficial as the elections committee (JPP) have yet to account for votes categorised as undi ragu (votes that are in doubt).

According to the Johor PKR figures, these normally involved voters who claimed to be PKR members but were not in the membership database. They were allowed to vote first and subjected to verification later.

This had happened last weekend in Penang as well, although the figure was believed to be smaller.

At the time of writing, Malaysiakini has not received reports of problems seen during the Kedah PKR elections last weekend.

All voting results in the elections for Kedah were eventually invalidated and new dates have yet to be set.

The next round of voting will take place in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Kuala Lumpur and Labuan this coming weekend.
