I'm tired of this slander, Anwar says on new sodomy allegation

PD POLLS | PKR president-elect Anwar Ibrahim said today he has grown tired of entertaining slander or accusations against him, as he wants to focus fully on his campaign to win the Port Dickson parliamentary by-election.

He said he had been through various accusations for almost 20 years, and called on those involved to come up with other capital against him.

“I want to carry on with my work. I have been through this for 20 years. I want to advise (Umno Supreme Council member) Lokman Noor Adam to find other capital.

“Even when (PKR communications director) Fahmi Fadzil lodged a police report, he did not inform me. Even if he had, I would have said nothing… I am just too tired to think (about that),” he said at a press conference at the Pakatan Harapan main operations room in Port Dickson.

Lokman , in a Facebook post yesterday, allegedly quoted what was purportedly a Berita Mediacorp report on an Indonesian student lodging a police report after claiming he was sodomised by Anwar in Singapore recently.

Berita Mediacorp denied having published the news and Lokman eventually removed the post from his Facebook account.

Anwar said that Lokman, as a civilised individual, should have apologised to him.

Fahmi Fadzil lodged a report at the Port Dickson police headquarters over Lokman's post earlier today.

“I lodged a police report because I feel that it is a vicious post of allegation and slander that attempted to change the public perception of Anwar, a candidate in the Port Dickson parliamentary by-election,” he said.

Fahmi said that although the post had been removed, the information can still be viralled over WhatsApp and immediate action must be taken to prevent that.
