Justo to come out with book on his 1MDB experience

Former Petrosaudi executive Xavier Justo (above) and his wife Laura are writing their own book on their personal experiences throughout the 1MDB saga.

"It will not be a 1MDB book or a financial crime story. For this, you have Google, the books about 1MDB and some newspapers."

"It will be about a personal experience, a journey through hell, about love, friendship and deception. A human story," Justo said on Facebook.

He added that the book would be a legacy for their son, family and friends who have suffered with them.

Justo left PetroSaudi International in 2011, two years after the company received US$1 billion from its now infamous joint-venture with 1MDB.

When he left, he did so with a cache of emails that he said he took along as “insurance”.

He eventually passed the information in the e-mails to Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle Brown and a Malaysian media mogul.

This after Petrosaudi failed to pay US$2 million in arrears that Justo said he was owed.

Justo was jailed in August 2015 after he reportedly confessed to blackmail charges brought against him by Petrosaudi. The alleged crime was supposed to have taken place in 2013.

Justo claimed he made the confession under duress.

Implicated parties

In his posting today, Justo said that he and Laura (above) would now tell the truth to publicly shame those behind the 1MDB scandal.

"Nobody can really imagine it but criminals, in order to protect their stolen money, have no limits, no morality, no humanity and who they truly are.

"All of this with the complicity of an ex-UK policeman, lawyers from one of the major Swiss law firm, PRs without moral and with criminal behaviour, Swiss journalists that in order to sell their newspapers will give a favourable image of real criminals.

He said he and his wife were not looking for financial gain and pledged to donate part of any potential profit to Malaysian charities.

He said it will likely take about a year to write the book.
