Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor are being questioned today by separate investigation teams.

Najib arrived at the Commercial Crimes Investigation Department (CCID) office at Menara KPJ in Kuala Lumpur at approximately 10am.

He is believed to have entered the building through the car park, dodging media personnel who were gathered at the main entrance.

Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam and about a dozen Najib supporters had gathered at the lobby to show moral support for their leader.

The police are expected to record Najib's statement on the 1MDB affair. CCID chief Amar Singh had told the media last week that Najib would be "called soon".

Amar had also said that police have recorded more than 70 statements, including two from former 1MDB chief executive officer Arul Kanda Kandasamy.

Third visit to MACC

In Putrajaya, Rosmah was seen entering the MACC headquarters about 10.40am, accompanied by her lawyer K Kumaraendran.

This is her third visit to the MACC headquarters since July. The last session lasted some 13 hours.

A source close to Rosmah told Malaysiakini yesterday that MACC might decide to arrest her.

On Sept 18, New Straits Times speculated that she could face up to 20 charges.

It is uncertain if the MACC investigations are related to the scandal involving 1MDB or SRC International Sdn Bhd.
