Home Ministry to look into needs of all state police HQs

Senior Home Ministry officers will visit all state police headquarters to look into their respective needs.

Deputy Home Minister Mohd Azis Jamman said they would collect data on security and future planning of the respective police headquarters to facilitate the ministry’s planning in enhancing their operations.

"It is necessary for us to go down and see the situation so that it is easy for us at the ministry level to make sure they get the necessary allocations," he said after visiting the Sabah police contingent headquarters in Kota Kinabalu today.

During the visit, Azis was briefed on security and development planning of the Sabah police contingent by its commissioner, Omar Mammah.

The deputy minister also visited the site of the Kota Kinabalu district police headquarters which is under construction. It is expected to be completed by the middle of next year.

Also present was the ministry’s deputy secretary-general, Che Murad Sayang Ramjan.
