A housewife pleaded not guilty in the Kuala Lumpur High Court today to possessing 61 images and 51 videos of the Isis militant group in her mobile phone last May.

Fauziahanim Abdullah, 51, who is a mother of two, was alleged to have committed the offence at Level 14, Kompleks Suria Kinrara, Blok D, Taman Kinrara, Seksyen 3, Puchong at 4.38 pm on May 9.

The charge, under Section 130JB(1)(a) of the Penal Code, carries a jail term of up to seven years, or a fine, and loss of rights to the prohibited material found on her.

Judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali set a four-day trial beginning April 22, 2019, and Nov 14 for mention of the case.

The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor Muhammad Fadzlan Mohd Noor while the accused was represented by lawyer Adi Zulkarnain Zulkafli.
