Disputed MyPPP president M Kayveas has denied receiving funds, which could be linked to 1MDB.

He told the Star Online that the funds he was quizzed on were collected by the faction which was embroiled in a power struggle with him.

"There are two amounts, RM16 million and RM20 million, that they collected in the name of MyPPP after they 'so-called' sacked me.

"This money, which they allegedly collected from BN, never came into MyPPP's accounts.

"We don't know where this money went and that is what I went to clarify with MACC," he was quoted as saying.

Kayveas also said he has provided MACC with the names and details of the six who allegedly collected the money.

Earlier, it was reported that the former Taiping MP was entering the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at about 3.20pm.

MyPPP deputy secretary-general S Simon said he was contacted by a MACC officer this morning, asking for financial documents.

“He said they were looking at funds that were transferred from Umno to MyPPP during his (Kayveas') time.

“I informed him that if there were any documents, they would either be in the party headquarters or a storage unit in Subang, where Kayveas' personal belongings have been kept since he was evicted," he added.
