PKR POLLS | PKR's election committee will only decide tomorrow whether to hold re-election in five Malacca divisions and one in Negeri Sembilan as efforts to recover results from these divisions have been unsuccessful thus far.
"We will only know tomorrow. However, there is a possibility re-election would be necessary," PKR election director Rashid Din told Malaysiakini.
The results for these six divisions have been stalled due to technical difficulties since yesterday.
One of the possible reasons given for the difficulties was that the tablets used for the voting had run out of mobile data, meaning the results could not be uploaded to PKR's election system.
This is the second major technical incident in this year's PKR party elections, the first to use an e-voting system.
Previously, when the party election kicked off in September, all results in Kedah had to be invalidated due to technical issues, requiring a total do-over for the state.
