PKR AGM | The new PKR leadership lineup has officially been announced at the 13th PKR National Congress today.

The lengthy PKR party election process, which began in September, had been marred by scuffles, accusations of rigging and money politics, as well as issues with the newly introduced e-voting system. 

But with no candidates appealing the results, the party polls have officially come to a close.

Candidates aligned to deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali dominated the elections, winning three of the four vice-president posts up for grabs, the deputy Youth chief as well as both Women chief and deputy Women chief posts.

Team Azmin also dominated 14 of the 20 seats on the central leadership council up for re-election.

Those aligned to Azmin's challenger, Rafizi Ramli, only managed to bag the Youth chief position and six spots on the central leadership council.

However, this does not include those who will be appointed to the council at a later date.

The winning candidates were presented with a certificate affirming their victory by out-going PKR president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Julau MP Larry Sng, who received his certificate, was the sole winning candidate to be booed.

Sng's division in Julau had been plagued with controversy following a spike in PKR members there, including those who were registered without their knowledge.

Opponents of Sng, who is aligned to defeated PKR deputy president candidate Rafizi Ramli, had alleged the surge in PKR members in Julau was aimed at influencing the party election.
