Najib, Rosmah questioned again

Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak has turned up at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters again for another round of questioning.

Though initially believed to be assisting investigations on a solar power project in Sarawak, sources told Malaysiakini that he was in fact questioned on the Scorpene submarine scandal, and his former associate Abdul Razak Baginda may be next.

Razak said he is prepared to assist the MACC’s investigations if called upon to do so.

Meanwhile, police sourced told Malaysiakini that Najib’s wife Rosmah Mansor had been questioned for another four hours over jewellery items seized from residences linked to the former premier.

Bilingual street signs ordered removed

Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has decreed that all road name signs that have Chinese writing in Shah Alam are to be replaced with Malay language signages, and this has to be done before his 73rdbirthday celebration on Dec 11.

Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari’s aide Borhan Aman Shah said the state government has given instructions to remove the signs immediately.
