BSN settles balance of Muhammad Adib's car loan

Bank Simpanan Nasional today announced that it would help setlle the balance of the car loan of late firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim.

BSN said in a statement that based on the principles of corporate social responsibility, the financial institution wanted to help in easing the burden of Adib's family.

“The late firefighter had just bought the car with a loan from BSN. The car is kept in his village for use after his wedding,” the statement said.

Adib, 24, who served as a member of the Emergency Service Aid Unit of the Subang Jaya Fire and Rescue Station, died at the National Heart Institute at about 9.41pm last Monday.

He was believed to have been assaulted in a rioting incident near the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Subang Jaya on Nov 27.

Adib was laid to rest at the Muslim Cemetery of the As-Saadah Mosque in Kuala Kedah at about 1.45pm last Tuesday.
