Najib on his own, but welcome to contribute to BN - Mat Hasan
Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak is operating on his own platform, but his contributions to BN are still welcome, said the coalition's acting chairperson Mohamad Hasan.
"What is wrong with Najib and his style? He is not on Umno's platform, but his own. He can do as he likes... 'malu apa bossku' (What's my boss got to be ashamed of)," Mohamad told reporters in Shah Alam today...

"What is wrong with Najib and his style? He is not on Umno's platform, but his own. He can do as he likes... 'malu apa bossku' (What's my boss got to be ashamed of)," Mohamad told reporters in Shah Alam today.
"Malu Apa Bossku" is the tagline of Najib's social media campaign, which has made him a local internet sensation.
"I am confident that this is something good he is doing to unite Malaysians so they are not divided.
"At the same time, if it adds value to BN and Umno, why not? Anyone can contribute, I welcome it as I don't have a policy of sidelining anyone," Mohamad added.
Najib's resurging popularity has been cited by some as a factor that helped BN win in last month's Cameron Highlands by-election.
Asked whether BN would make use of Najib again for the upcoming Semenyih by-election, Mohamad replied that the former premier was welcome to campaign on his own.
'Add value'
"In Cameron Highlands, BN did not invite him (to campaign) but he was invited by the Felda people, the (Orang Asli) tok batin [...] because he contributed much to them.
"Don't be so jealous. As party chief, I welcome any effort by anyone which can add value to BN and Umno," he said.
On PAS' move to settle its lawsuit against Sarawak Report, Mohamad said he didn't believe this would affect BN's chances in Semenyih as it was solely a PAS issue.
However, he said he is still dismayed as the issue would likely be played up during the by-election campaign.
The lawsuit was over Sarawak Report's claim that PAS leaders had received RM90 million from Najib.
PAS has denied the allegation though a probe by the MACC is underway.
