Amanah has forbidden any government agency to be in the Semenyih area and mandated its machinery to wear the Pakatan Harapan logo instead of the party logo throughout the by-election.

This decision comes after an Amanah leadership meeting last night, according to a statement issued today by the party's media and communications unit.

"As such, Amanah hopes that all those on duty can obey these directives to ensure Pakatan Harapan can retain our win in the Semenyih state seat with a higher majority," read the statement.

Polling day for the Semenyih by-election is on March 2, with nomination day taking place this Saturday.

The by-election was triggered after incumbent Bakhtiar Mohd Nor passed away on Jan 11 after a heart attack.

The past by-elections after the 14th general election (GE14) have been riddled with complaints of alleged electoral offences, including vote-buying and use of government machinery to campaign.
