Pelangi Airways has cancelled another flight this morning due to the absence of flight crew, making it the third such incident since last Saturday.

Forty-one passengers who had booked the 9am flight to Pekan Baru, Sumatra, were told of the last-minute cancellation while they were waiting to depart at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport.

Just last Saturday, 60 passengers were stranded at the airport after two Pelangi Airways flights were cancelled when some flight crew went on 'emergency and sick leave'.

It was reported that some of the airline's employees are going on a 'silent strike'. However, the management denied the allegation.

Pelangi Airways has another flight from Subang to Padang, Sumatra, scheduled to depart at 2pm today.
