Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has insisted that the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will continue to be helmed by Ronald Kiandee.
The Pakatan Harapan chairperson said the ruling coalition had lived up to its election promise by appointing Kiandee to that post when the latter was with the opposition.

The Pakatan Harapan chairperson said the ruling coalition had lived up to its election promise by appointing Kiandee to that post when the latter was with the opposition.
"We had fulfilled our promises, but he wants to join (us), we cannot stop," he said.
"We never expected him to move over," he told the media in Putrajaya today.
The prime minister went on to claim that all allies in Harapan had agreed that Kiandee, who joined Bersatu yesterday, would be retained as PAC chair.
Yesterday, both DAP's Hannah Yeoh and PKR's Nurul Izzah Anwar called for the PAC to be led by an opposition lawmaker as stipulated in Harapan's election manifesto.
Yeoh, who is also deputy women, family and community development minister, had urged parliament to amend the Standing Order making it compulsory for the PAC to be chaired by an opposition leader.
During her tenure as Selangor speaker, Yeoh had pushed for a similar amendment in the Standing Order of the State Legislative Assembly to make the state opposition leader the state PAC chair.
