Azmin clueless about becoming DPM during Hari Raya celebrations

Speculation has been rife for months that PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali, and not his boss Anwar Ibrahim, will succeed Dr Mahathir Mohamad as prime minister.
The latest claim making the rounds is that Azmin will be appointed as deputy prime minister during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations in early June.
The post is currently held by Anwar's wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
However, Azmin, the economic affairs minister, said today that he is in the dark about the speculation.
"I don't know (about this),” he told reporters when met at the Parliament lobby this afternoon.
On the same note, Azmin stressed that the focus should be placed on Pakatan Harapan fulfilling the promises it made to the people, and not positions.
“There are so many things that need to be done, and we were given the mandate by the rakyat to deliver, and improve the delivery system.
"We have been on the ground engaging and consulting stakeholders and the rakyat. Insya Allah we will do our best to honour our promises to the rakyat. That should be the focus.
“This matter (of becoming deputy prime minister) should not arise at all,” he added.
Mahathir has agreed to hand over the reins to Anwar in two years, but certain quarters have claimed that there are attempts to derail the transition plan.
