Sabah cabinet to meet in Sandakan instead of KK
SANDAKAN POLLS | Sabah's cabinet is scheduled to hold its weekly meeting in Sandakan instead of the state capital of Kota Kinabalu for the first time ever next week.
Chief Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal said it was necessary because he had ordered his entire cabinet to campaign for Pakatan Harapan candidate Vivian Wong.

Chief Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal said it was necessary because he had ordered his entire cabinet to campaign for Pakatan Harapan candidate Vivian Wong.
"We can't be moving (between the towns) so often. We have to consolidate.
"We are working together and not operating solo to ensure victory for Vivian," he said when he met by reporters at Taman Indah Jaya in Sandakan.
The last time something similar happened was in 2016 when then prime minister Najib Abdul Razak held his cabinet meeting in Kuching in the midst of the Sarawak state election campaign.
Meanwhile, Shafie said he will have to take a break from campaigning this weekend because he has to attend the Warisan annual general meeting in Penampang. Shafie is Warisan president.
He pledged to rejoin the campaign next Monday.
"I will come back to Sandakan to visit the villages [...] but now I have to leave because I have an AGM to attend for two days. If the president is not there, there might be problems," he said.
The Sandakan by-election will take place on May 11.
