Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz's father doesn't believe that his son is the other man in sex videos which allegedly features Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali.
“I watched both the confession and the lewd videos. The latter appears to be shady and I don’t think that’s my son," Abdul Aziz Ibrahim was quoted as saying by The Sun.
“However, I watched the confession video a few times, because I was convinced it was not my son. I was analysing the video, looking at his posture, his movement and his tone, hoping it was fake,” the 53-year-old added.
He was also cited as saying that his son was heterosexual.
The report also said Abdul Aziz managed to get in touch with Haziq yesterday, but did not mention what transpired during their conversation.
Haziq has been in the spotlight after confessing to being one of two men in a series of sex video clips spread by anonymous individuals.
The 27-year-old political aide claimed that the other person in the video was Azmin, who has described the issue as a plot to ruin his political career.
Meanwhile, Abdul Aziz accused the police of forcing their way into his house in Kuching.
He said the incident took place about 5pm yesterday, when he was at home with his daughter.
“About five policemen, one wearing a green vest and four others in plainclothes, forced their way into my house compound.
“Maybe they managed to gain access as the alarm system and doorbell in my house were faulty,” he said.
Abdul Aziz said the individuals arrived in a police patrol car.
“Well, they did not show any identification that they are cops but I assume they were policemen because of their car and the officer who was in a police vest. However, they did say that they are from Bukit Aman police headquarters.
“They did not harm me or my daughter. They just wanted to question me about my son. It’s just that they were a bit stern and the way they showed up in my house made me nervous,” he added.
Abdul Aziz, who filed a report over the incident at the Kuching district police station, said he was quizzed on his son's whereabouts and the background of the family.
Yesterday, Malaysiakini reported that Haziq lodged a police report in Kelana Jaya, saying he feared for his safety.
Haziq has been suspended from his post as senior private secretary to Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin.
