Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) has confirmed that water supply restoration as at 6am today is at 86 percent of registered customer accounts.

In a statement today, Syabas confirmed that water in the Kuala Selangor and Hulu Selangor regions had been fully restored and other regions would follow soon.

Syabas apologised for the inconvenience and said that the unscheduled interruption followed the shutdown of Sungai Selangor Phase 1, 2 and 3 and Rantau Panjang water treatment plants due to raw water pollution.

It said that 98 percent of the 117,837 affected homes in Kuala Lumpur had full restoration already, with the remaining two percent to be restored by 12pm, Tuesday.

In Petaling, 90 percent of the 414,955 homes had full restoration, with the rest restored by 12pm, Wednesday.

In the Klang and Shah Alam area, 76 percent of the 416,996 homes had full restoration, with the rest restored by 12pm, Wednesday.

While in Gombak, 94 percent of the 155,850 homes had full restoration, with the remainder set to be restored by 12pm, Monday.

Meanwhile, none of the 9,571 homes in Kuala Langat had experienced restoration. It is due to be fully restored by Wednesday.

Water tankers will continuously be mobilised to areas where supply has not been fully restored, said Syabas.
