PKR president Anwar Ibrahim's political secretary Farhash Wafa Salvador was released from the Dang Wangi district police headquarters in Kuala Lumpur at about 3.50pm.
Whereas, former Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz was freed some 10 minutes later and left the area immediately.
Earlier, some 100 supporters, armed with placards, greeted Farhash with chants of "Reformasi".
They also shouted "Free Farhash" and "PDRM, (Royal Malaysian Police) don't be a political tool!".
Farhash later greeted his supporters and chanted: "Reformasi! Anwar Ibrahim for PM! Azmin semburit (sodomy)".
The political aide was detained on July 16 in connection with a sex video implicating Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali.
Haziq was arrested on July 14.
To date, a total of 11 people have been arrested over the sex video.
With Haziq and Farhash's release, only one person, an unnamed businessperson, is left in custody.
Yesterday, police had also questioned a PKR assemblyperson in relation to the case. However, the elected representative was not arrested.
Last month, a sex video was released to politicians and journalists in several parts by anonymous persons.
Subsequently, Haziq admitted that he was one of two men having sex in a video. He claimed his partner was Azmin.
Azmin has dismissed the video as slander and an attempt to destroy his political career. He also alluded that it was an inside job.
Anwar had said the investigation should not only focus on the circulation of the video, but also its authenticity.
Inspector-general of police Abdul Hamid Bador had said an analysis by Cybersecurity Malaysia found the video to be authentic, but facial recognition software could not confirm the identity of the implicated minister.
The investigation over the masterminds of the video is ongoing.
