The Armed Forces Religious Corps (KAGAT) has always placed emphasis on efforts to enhance the spiritual aspect of combat power among the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) personnel, especially those in the operations area.

Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu said among the efforts undertaken by KAGAT to enhance the ATM personnel's combat power was through the organising of a programme dubbed ‘Dakwah Kawasan Operasi' in operations areas, including in the east coast of Sabah.

“The aspect, among others, will inculcate the fighting spirit among the ATM personnel. It is in line with KAGAT's mission to increase the level of professionalism of the ATM personnel through its Islamic education and religious services," he told the Dewan Rakyat sitting in Parliament today.

Mohamad was replying to a question from Ahmad Fadhli Shaari (PAS-Pasir Mas) on the role of KAGAT in contributing to the human capital development, especially in the spiritual aspect of combat power among the ATM personnel.
