Malaysian customs officials arrested three men and seized 10,000 ecstasy pills worth about RM2.4 million (US$686,000), a report said today.

The pills, which had come from Belgium, were stamped with an image of Mickey Mouse, the report added.

Mat Yusuf Abdullah, customs department's deputy director-general described Sunday's haul as the biggest so far this year.

Drugs hidden in box

Customs found the 10,000 pure ecstasy drugs, weighing 2.5kg with Mickey embossed on each side, the Star newspaper reported.

Mat Yusuf said the smugglers attempted to dodge customs at Kuala Lumpur International Airport by hiding the drugs in a box with two packets of espresso coffee, some clothes and bits of food.

Customs officials tracked package and later arrested three men at an address in Kepong.
