DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng today lodged a report with the Anti Corruption Agency (ACA) against Jasin MP Mohamed Said Yusof.
The report was lodged at 10.30 am at the Malacca ACA office,
Bernama
reported.
This was the second report lodged against the MP. Parti Keadilan Rakyat lodged a similar report on Monday.
Lim told reporters that the ACA should investigate whether Mohd Said had abused his powers for his own benefit regarding the import of timber by his company.
Interfered
Mohd Said is alleged to have interfered with the work of the Malacca Customs which had seized a consignment of timber that did not meet the specifications by asking the department to `close an eye' on the matter.
Mohamed Said yesterday admitted that he is the owner of Binyu Sof Enterprise, a shipping and forwarding agent that imports sawn timber from Indonesia.
However, the MP clarified that the consignment does not belong to his company and it only acted as an agent for the consignment.
