亚洲41个非政府组织联署表明,担忧马来西亚三大保守派政党掌权后,恐导致民主改革议程受挫,并且有损国内的族群关系。

这41个非政府组织当中有亚洲人权与发展论坛(FORUM-ASIA),以及二个马来西亚非政府组织,即大马人民之声(SUARAM)、社会传播中心(KOMAS)。

文告表明,不管哪一方执政大马,都应该维护民主改革、多元族群政治的原则。

“马来西亚不应该倒退到对非马来人不公和压制公民空间的政治和政策。”

敦促废除恶法

文告表示,团结党主席慕尤丁过去倡导马来人优先,巫统则推行偏袒马来人的政策,伊党则推动伊斯兰刑事法,因此三党联合执政恐怕会有不良的后果。

“族群和宗教议题凌驾人权原则,将会导致马来西亚人民过去两年所争取到的进步出现倒退。”

文告表示,希盟垮台后,改革议程可能受挫,这包括废除和修订钳制自由的恶法以及扩大民主空间的议程可能落空。

文告指出,慕尤丁曾主张保留2012年国家安全罪行(特别措施)法令(SOSMA)以及煽动法令,这些都是违反人权的压制性法律。

文告称,警方近期调查集会,以及援引煽动法和和平集会法调查人权律师法蒂亚,显示新政府可能紧缩基本自由。

文告疾呼大马政府落实三大诉求:确保所有族群参与政治决策;停止打压异议者,保障表达自由、集会自由和结社自由权利;延续前任政府的改革,包括废除国安法和煽动法令以及扩大民主空间。
