PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang said he doesn't mind if he is excluded from Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin's cabinet.

At a press conference in Marang, Terengganu, today, Hadi said he was sure PAS will be part of Muhyiddin's diverse cabinet.

"The quota will be decided by the prime minister. Certainly, some (cabinet ministers) will come from Perikatan Nasional, parties from Sabah and Sarawak as well as non-Muslims.

"I am open... I don't need to be chosen. If I am not chosen, I will be a fisherman. It's OK. I just want to serve the country," said Hadi.

Hadi is known to be an avid angler.

PAS' position, reiterated Hadi, was that cabinet ministers should be "clean" and "professional" but refused to state if those facing criminal court cases can be included.

"I don't want to say who can or cannot join the cabinet while the cases are ongoing.

"Some Pakatan Harapan leaders had their trials stopped... Big cases swept under the carpet. Those in glass houses should not throw stones at others," he said.

There are at least six Umno MPs who are currently facing criminal trials.

The most prominent are Najib Abdul Razak, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.

Umno MPs make up 39 MPs in Muhyiddin's government followed by Bersatu (30 MPs) and PAS (18 MPs).
