CORONAVIRUS | The following are the replies made by the relevant agencies to the Quick Response Team of the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (MCMC) on fake news that went viral on social media as of 11am today.

1. The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry has denied issuing the statement enclosing a list of telephone numbers of state officials, for the purpose of applying for Covid-19 assistance and contributions from non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

2. The Negeri Sembilan Mufti Department has debunked a claim that the book Aza'imu Duhur by Abi Ali Addabiziri in Year 565 had predicted the current Covid-19 pandemic.
