According to The Star, lawyer Rajan Navaratnam said his client, Teoh, had allegedly re-shared an old video of Tunku Ismail and others dressed in military fatigues and handling firearms.
The actor and radio personality is alleged to have also posted obscenities when he shared the video through his Facebook page on Thursday.
The post appears to have been deleted and Rajan said a police report has been lodged over it.
"He is expected to be brought to Johor Bahru Selatan police headquarters tonight (May 9) to be remanded tomorrow (May 10)," the lawyer told The Star.
Teoh had reportedly earlier gone to the Petaling Jaya Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) to have his statement recorded.
