Former Umno ministers Rais Yatim and Radzi Sheikh Ahmad are among five new senators to be sworn in next Tuesday.
According to a list being circulated among political circles and sighted by Malaysiakini, the other three are PAS vice-president Idris Ahmad, PAS Supporters Wing (DHPP) chief N Balasubramaniam and former political secretary to Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Muhammad Zahid Md Arip.
Zahid would be representing the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.
This gives Bersatu three new representatives in the senate, as well as two for PAS.
All five were appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and are to be sworn in on June 16 at 10am.

It was also stated that a second swearing-in session would be held the following Monday, June 22.
However, the names of the senators being sworn in during the later session were not listed.
Dewan Negara president S A Vigneswaran confirmed the matter when contacted by Malaysiakini.
He said a further four senators are to be sworn in on June 22, adding the decision to split the ceremony into two days was to avoid a big crowd.
Currently, the upper house has 60 senators, from a total of 70 seats.
This followed the swearing-in of Malacca Umno liaison committee deputy chairperson Mohd Ali Mohamad and television personality Ras Adiba Radzi to the senate last month.
