Another video recording depicting violence among school students is circulating on the Internet. The six-minute footage shows a student being slapped and kicked by a pack of high-school girls.

It is said that the incident, believed to have been recorded using a mobile phone, occurred in Sarawak recently.

The clip showed half-a-dozen girls clad in their secondary school uniforms verbally and physically abusing a colleague in a park-like vicinity while about four male students look on.

The students were speaking in Mandarin.

Two of the girls questioned the victim on her complaint that she was beaten by one of the female bullies (wearing a green sweater) in the video clip.

"Are you going to tell us or not?" exclaimed the girls.

The victim remained silent but after being repeatedly slapped, she kept denying that she had told anybody about the earlier incident.

But her assailants continued to hit and kicked her. "Did you say that (you were beaten)? I'm asking you. No? If no, then you fight back. If no, why did the boys beat us?"

Revenge attack?

At this juncture, the boys tell the girls to stop hitting the victim. "Enough! Haven't you beaten her enough?"

The boys later shielded the victim and led her away but her assailants continued to pull her hair and slap her.

From their remarks, it is believed that the victim had complained to her male schoolmates of being bullied by this group of girls and this apparently prompted the boys to rough up the girls.

The recorded incident could be an act of revenge.

The video clip had ignited widespread discussion on Internet forums with some claiming that it took place at the Tanjung Lobang recreational park in Miri.

There were also suggestions to report the matter to the school authorities and police.

Earlier this week, seven students were expelled from a school in Johor after a video clip showing them violently beating up a colleague. Six have since been interrogated by the police.
