Salahuddin dares Umno to dissolve Johor state assembly
Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub has dared Umno to dissolve the Johor state assembly, which it controls.

"Since they are so eager to have a GE, I challenge them to start this move with Johor.
"They talk about national political instability as a reason for a GE, so this step must start in Johor following the political crisis in the state," the Simpang Jeram assemblyperson said.
Johor Perikatan Nasional has a slim lead of 29 seats against 27 seats from Pakatan Harapan.
A single defection would result in a hung assembly.
Harapan had teased that they would be able to seize power in the state.
This prompted a royal rebuke earlier this month from Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, who said he would dissolve the state assembly if there was another power struggle in the state.
Menteri Besar Hasni Mohammad (above) had quipped that he might become the shortest-serving head of the Johor government.
So far, several Umno leaders including deputy president Mohamad Hasan, vice-president Ismail Sabri Yaakob as well as supreme council members Nazri Abdul Aziz and Mahdzir Khalid have voiced support for snap polls.
Bersatu, meanwhile, indicated that Muhyiddin was eyeing to dissolve Parliament once the country stabilises from the Covid-19 pandemic.
