Tasek Gelugor MP appointed as deputy minister in PM’s Dept
Tasek Gelugor MP Shabudin Yahaya has been appointed as a deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of law and Parliament.
The Prime Minister’s Department in a statement said Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah had consented to Shabudin's appointment under Article 43(A) of the Federal Constitution.

The Prime Minister’s Department in a statement said Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah had consented to Shabudin's appointment under Article 43(A) of the Federal Constitution.
Shabudin (above) replaces Kuala Pilah MP Eddin Syazlee Shith who will be taking over the deputy works minister's post vacated by Sri Gading MP Shahruddin Md Salleh.
Shahruddin resigned from his deputy works minister's post on June 4, amid turmoil in Bersatu between former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Bersatu president, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
Shabudin – formerly an Umno lawmaker before he joined Bersatu – will be serving alongside de facto law and Parliament minister Takiyuddin Hassan, who is also Kota Bharu MP from PAS.
The official appointment and oath-taking ceremony will be held before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong today.
