Govt tables RM7b supply bill for last year's expenditure
PARLIAMENT | Putrajaya has tabled an RM7 billion supplementary supply bill to cover expenditure from last year.
The bill seeks “additional expenditure on the services and purposes” already specified in the 2019 Budget, but were not fully provided for.
The bill was tabled by Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz (above), who also tabled a second bill to reallocate RM7.18 billion to facilitate the restructuring of the cabinet.

PARLIAMENT | Putrajaya has tabled an RM7 billion supplementary supply bill to cover expenditure from last year.
The bill seeks “additional expenditure on the services and purposes” already specified in the 2019 Budget, but were not fully provided for.
The bill was tabled by Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz (above), who also tabled a second bill to reallocate RM7.18 billion to facilitate the restructuring of the cabinet.
Under the supplementary supply bill, the largest allocation sought is for Treasury general service, at RM1.77 billion, followed by the Health Ministry at RM1.18 billion.
Previously the Pakatan Harapan government had in 2019 tabled an RM19.6 billion supplementary budget for the year 2018.
Meanwhile, the budget reallocation bill is to facilitate the Perikatan Nasional government's move to create new ministries.
Tengku Zafrul told the Dewan Rakyat earlier that this would not involve additional allocations, and would be taken from existing budget and savings.
The biggest re-allocation was RM5.92 billion for the Higher Education Ministry - which has split from the Education Ministry.
The second biggest reallocation was RM310 million for the Prime Minister's Department.
Both bills will be debated in this current Parliament session.
