Amanah has terminated the party membership of its Sabak assemblyperson Ahmad Mustain Othman over alleged disciplinary violations.
In a statement, party secretary-general Hatta Ramli said the decision to sack Mustain (above) was made during a disciplinary meeting yesterday.
“The decision was made when he was found to have violated party discipline as stated in Clause 21.12 of Amanah’s constitution.
“The termination is in line with Clause 21.8... that gives the disciplinary board the authority to fire any member found to have violated party discipline and orders,” the statement read.
The exact reason for the ouster was not provided.
When contacted, Mustain confirmed he received a termination letter but refused to comment further.
