Four Amanah Youth divisions have nudged the party to initiate ties with former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's upcoming party Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang).

"This decision is aligned with our monumental efforts to uphold people’s mandate and to protect the sovereignty of the democracy in our country. Hence it must be done swiftly without being continuously delayed by any individual with a personal political agenda," they said in a statement.
