No date set yet for Indira to be reunited with daughter - Bukit Aman
Police have not set any target yet as to when former kindergarten teacher, M Indira Gandhi will be reunited with her daughter, Prasana Diksa.
Bukit Aman's Criminal Investigation Department director Huzir Mohamed who also heads the special task force to locate Indira's former husband Muhammad Riduan Abdullah and their daughter, said this to Bernama when referred to news of her saying that she was hoping to be reunited with her daughter by Deepavali this year.

"She’s the one giving the target of until Deepavali, (but) we’ve not given her that target. We have met up with her (Indira) and she was satisfied, so we will work at solving this issue," he told Bernama.
Indira, lawyers Sachpreetraj Singh Sohanpal and Ambiga Sreenevasan, and Indira Gandhi Action Team (INGAT) chairperson, Arun Dorasamy was at the federal police headquarters yesterday for a meeting with inspector-general of police (IGP) Abdul Hamid Bador.
However, Indira later informed members of the media that Abdul Hamid was not there due to an urgent meeting at another location and that Huzir had instead met them.
She said the meeting was fruitful and that they were willing to work together with the police on the matter.
"We were informed that the task force had been put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic and we understand this...They (police) also furnished us with the findings and challenges faced by the task force so far.
"We hope that we can work hand in hand with the police, have more meetings to exchange information, and with this, reunite with my daughter hopefully by Deepavali (Nov 13) this year," she said.
More than a decade
Indira also said that Prasana would be 12 years old this year and would need the guidance and care of a mother when she goes through puberty.
The media previously reported that the police were taking the necessary actions to expedite the process of reuniting Indira with her daughter, Prasana.
Muhammad Riduan fled with his daughter Prasana in 2009 when she was only 11 months old, after converting to Islam.
In 2016, the Federal Court ordered the then IGP Khalid Abu Bakar to arrest Muhammad Riduan and for him to comply with the mandamus order issued by the Ipoh High Court two years earlier to retrieve Prasana Diksa.
In January 2018, the apex court also overturned the conversion of Prasana and her two older siblings to Islam.
