PN and Muafakat more alike than different, PAS sec-gen reminds Umno, Bersatu

A senior PAS leader has echoed calls for fresh discussions to be held between Muafakat Nasional and Perikatan Nasional (PN), amid a mounting challenge against Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin's leadership.
Taking to Twitter, PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan (above) noted that there were more similarities than differences between the Umno-PAS Muafakat pact and PN's allies which include PAS and Sabah parties.
"Like various dishes served, it would be enjoyed at the dining table by the people who eat it.
"Various views have been raised, it would be resolved at the discussion table," Takiyuddin said.
"It will certainly be resolved through a discussion. Everyone will have a role," the de facto law minister added.
PAS vice-president Mohd Amar Abdullah previously said while the unresolved issues between Umno and Bersatu remain unclear, both parties should engage in a discussion to find a solution.
Meanwhile, BN secretary-general Annuar Musa was spotted paying a visit to Muhyiddin's house in Bukit Damansara yesterday.
The Ketereh MP, however, said it was just an ordinary visit "to a neighbour".
This follows an Umno political bureau announcement late Tuesday that the party will consider withdrawing support for PN and will present Bersatu with new conditions for its political cooperation.
