COVID-19 | Mexico, the most populous country in the Spanish-speaking world, is on the brink of recording 100,000 confirmed coronavirus deaths, after passing one million infections several days ago.

Mexico’s official death toll from Covid-19, the respiratory disease caused by the virus, is among the highest in the world, and in the Americas lags only behind the United States and Brazil.
