As the Year of the Ox lumbers in, all of us at Malaysiakini would like to wish everyone - our readers especially - a very happy Chinese New Year.

The Year of the Rat has been a very difficult year not just for Malaysians but for the whole of humanity.

Let’s hope that this lunar new year will see our beloved nation and the world victorious in our battle against the scourge of Covid-19. Until then, we must continue to strictly observe health SOPs and stay safe.

It has been our privilege and pleasure to serve you for yet another year in building a better tomorrow.
