They were believed to be handed out at the party's annual general meeting, based on a photo of one of the posters he uploaded on his Facebook page.
Annuar also dismissed an allegation on the posters that claimed he bribed delegates to support a motion for Umno to be "exploited" by Bersatu.
He stressed that the allegation is slanderous and implied that the circulation of the posters was actually allowed by certain quarters.
"This morning I was surprised by the circulation of these posters. Whose work is this? Who is crafting this narrative?
"Surely this (poster) is something that has been allowed," he said.
Addressing the allegation, he asked, "Who will bring up this purported motion? What is the agenda? Which delegates were asked to support the motion?"
He then advised the perpetrators to repent and expressed regret that slander has now become a norm.
Annuar and Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi have not been on good terms after the two leaders expressed differing stances on the party's cooperation with Bersatu.
Annuar did not agree with Zahid and the Umno supreme council's stance to cut ties with Bersatu after the Parliament is dissolved.
After he was sacked as the BN secretary-general in January this year, Annuar held a media conference claiming Zahid attempted to forge cooperation with PKR without the knowledge of the party.
