Takiyuddin: We need to verify alleged recording of PAS leader criticising Hadi

Takiyuddin said the person’s identity must be verified before any further action can be taken and that the party was also open to any police investigation if there are reports lodged on the matter.
“As a man of law, I will not comment based on assumptions as they need to be proven first.
“If there is a police report, let the police investigate. We have the law and we do not act on speculation,” the Kota Bharu MP told reporters while in his constituency.
Takiyuddin, who is energy and natural resources minister, told reporters this when asked on the audio recording which has gone viral on social media.
An audio clip suggesting disgruntlement within the PAS top leadership against party president Hadi’s alleged affinity for Perikatan Nasional has surfaced.
The one-minute-52-second recording allegedly of a PAS central committee member was posted on Facebook.
The post referred to the leader simply as “Dr T”.
In the clip, the speaker appeared to lament Hadi’s views about PN and BN.
“Tok Guru (Hadi) is holding on to the view of a survey that showed PN was on the rise and BN was falling.
“But he (Hadi) said we need to celebrate Umno as well because it has grassroots support.
“Tok Guru always repeats this in his speech but he does not show it in practice. That is why we are upset,” the voice was heard saying.
In another portion of the clip, the speaker sounded dissatisfied at Hadi’s alleged tendency to change his mind.
It bears noting that the Facebook post where the recording surfaced appeared critical of this Dr T.
The post accused Dr T of trying to sailang (usurp) Hadi and hinted at more exposés incriminating the former.
