The Klang Municipal Council (MPK) today tore down DZ Satay House, a restaurant belonging to controversial Port Klang assemblyman Zakaria Mat Deros.

The restaurant had been closed for some weeks now after being sealed off by the council for operating without a proper building plan.

The satay house also had no business licence and was operating on state land without a temporary occupation license.

The demolition work was carried out by three bulldozers from MPK, which tore down the main restaurant, an outdoor dining area and a surau.

The entire operation took about two-hours to complete. Malaysiakini,tv crew was there to record the demolition.

Zakaria, who has been in the limelight recently for building a mansion without proper approval and other abuses of power , was not seen at the site.
